Frequently Asked Questions

How often should I attend therapy?

There is no one “right” frequency for sessions. Some clients benefit from weekly sessions, while others may find bi-weekly, every three weeks, or less frequent sessions more supportive. The most helpful schedule is one that fits your needs, goals, and current life circumstances. Together with your therapist, you will determine a session frequency that best supports you at this time and can be adjusted as your needs evolve.

What can I expect from therapy?

Therapy is a collaborative process where the therapist and individual work together to establish goals and assess needs. The first few sessions there is a focus on building relationship and rapport, and from there, we focus on starting to work on the goals that have been discussed.  As needs change, so do goals, and we work together to review and reflect on goals and when it may be supportive to end therapy.

Do you offer in-person or virtual?

Both in-person and virtual sessions are offered Monday to Friday. In-person sessions are offered in Fergus, Ontario.

Are sessions covered by insurance?

If your insurance plan covers Registered Psychotherapists, sessions may be covered. Best practice is to check with your specific insurance provider to see if you are covered.
